About a month ago, I went to a new French restaurant in Long Island City, called Tournesol that I thought was very good.
My husband and I split a mussels in white wine appetizer that was excellent. He had the steak frites au poivre that he was very happy with. I had a halibut encrusted with rosemary with artichokes that was very good, but it tasted more like thyme than rosemary. The creme brulee was one of the better ones that I have had--lots of vanilla. The entrees were about 14 to 16 dollars. Overall, pretty reasonable and pleasant after a day at PS 1.
It is located on Vernon Boulevard between 50th and 51st.
