Tony's in Tustin for Lunch

bernardo | Mar 31, 200509:19 PM

A fresh fish main for less than $10 at a sit down is arguably fast becoming a vanishing commodity. So we were pleased to find it's still possible at Tony's on Newport Blvd in Tustin, which IOHO continues to offer solid value at lunchtime for fresh fish.
Our group's sole, halibut & sword were all tasty & well-prepared today. Portions ranged in size from adequate to generous, prices from $8 to $12 with a choice of 3 generously sized sides such as cole slaw, green salad & sauteed veggies. Portion size varies but we've never seen anyone leave hungry over a dozen years of patronizing Tony's. The atmosphere is retro kitsch but comfortable, and the service friendly and usually efficient.
Also, for those on a budget there's Rewards Network & Diners discounts, even 2 for 1 with an Entertainment card.
All in all, nothing fancy or outstanding in any respect, but a good value for nicely prepared fresh fish if you happen to be in the area.
