Tongue, in all its variations...

Bashful3 | Jun 16, 201507:16 PM

Smoked tongue was commonplace in my childhood, but other than
a rare tongue sandwhich in a place like the lunch place right near
Bryn Mawr Bank on Bryn Mawr Ave, I have not found a place for smoked tongue anywhere lately. Suggestions?

The best place to buy veal tongue at a reasonable price is the
ShopRite in Cherry Hill. I often buy two: one for me; one to cook for a friend and neighbor. Less waste, very delicate and tender. A treat.

Kensington Quarters was strangely unwilling to smoke a fresh tongue for me, even though I was willing to pay extra for the smoking.

ShopRite of Whitman Plaza,
ShopRite of Oregon Ave
