I have a simple question. I realize that lunch omakase can be significantly more economical than dinner in many Tokyo's top sushiyas. Besides the fewer number of nigiri and less time commitment, what are the differences? Am I getting less quality fish, different chefs, or else? It will be my first experience at a Tokyo sushi, and I am willing to step up to dinner if the overall experience is significantly better.
I have rediscovered this board for my upcoming Japan trip after finding the SF board becoming less useful over the last few years. Thanks everyone.
