According to yesterday's New York Times article, "Countdown to the Main Event" (16Nov05), today is the day to make the cranberry sauce. Yippee!
I bought a 2 pound bag of cranberries at BJs for the family gathering at Thanksgiving dinner. I will be making the cranberry sauce with 1 pound of berries. The other ingredients that will go into this year's batch are the juice of 2 or 3 limes, orange juice to make 1 measured cup of juice in combination with the lime juice, 3 ounces of Marsala, and sugar.
As I mentioned in a previous message, I like to play with my food. I've never made cranberry sauce with that combination of ingredients before this.
