I'm just tired of Starbucks and Panera...what are your fave cafes around the HV?

I'm the type of person who really enjoys sitting in a cafe for a couple of hours, absorbed in a good book. It's even better if the pastries, food and beverages are delicious. My three top picks for the mid-Hudson Valley are:

1. The Bakery (New Paltz)--I love their brownies bites and their vanilla chai tea. Their chicken salad is excellent, especially on hearty slices of sunflower seed bread. I also like the upstairs seating area, but it can get quite loud.
2. Babycakes Cafe (Poughkeepsie)--Delicious food...my favorites include the mozzarella pesto on ciabetta and the chicken wrap. I prefer their lunch selections to their pastries, but their baby double chocolate chip cookies are definitely a treat. The only thing I don't like is that their service seems a little disorganized and slow at times.
3. The Village Tea Room (New Paltz)--Their organic whole wheat pasta with pesto is delicious. The space is a little cramped and the lack of air conditioning is problematic in the summer, but the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about their food.

I heard that the Muddy Cup opened up a cafe on Main Street in Poughkeepsie, but I wasn't very impressed with the coffee at the one in New Paltz. Since I'm always on the lookout for a great cafe to while away my time (and do some extra work, if needs be), I thought I would ask the experts for recommendations for their favorite cafes in the area. =)
