I have been a long time reader of this site but never attempted to make anything.
There is a first time for everything right?
I am planning on buy a steak, marinating (over night is an option) a steak and cooking it the next day. Unfortunately my only options for cooking is a broil or pan sear. So on to the questions:
1. Steak - Which kind to buy? I only have access to what is available at any suburban supermarket.
2. The Marinate - I am thinking of a sweet, almost Korean BBQ or teriyaki kind of marinate. Does anyone have a recipe or any suggestions?
3. Sides - any ideas of what I can serve on the side? I am thinking garlic and rosemary roasted potatoes or buttery whipped mash potatoes .
