Tiki Room -1 Landsdowne Review

6 of us met after work yesterday for pu pu's and umbrella drinks. Pu pu's are $24 S(feeds 2)/$36 L(feeds 3). Tropical drinks avg. $7.50. Draft beer $4.50. Everyone liked their T-drinks, but I found my mai tai too sweet(compared to grande dry tais that Top of the Hub used to serve w/2" crushed ice collar). I had the small Surf & Turf that included: fried calamari, fish, grilled shrimp, chix sate, beef skewers, bar-b-q pork riblets & 3 sauces(roasted sesame flavored mayo, very hot/spicy vinegary soy & peanut sauces. Food was hot on arrival & ready to be further heated if necessary over the sterno. 3 shared a large Southwestern w/quesidillas, etc. and 3 accompanying sauces of fresh onion-tomato-cilantro type salsa(I orderd a tray of these as well for my S&T at no extra cost), sour cream, etc. that they demolished. Someone ordered a small Classic & the 6th a dinner of mahi mahi which she pronounced delicious. Desserts: 1 had the somemores pu pu & we had to instruct him that you roast the marshmellows, then sandwich them with the graham crackers & Hersey's chocolate sqs, not eat the mellos by themselves. The other pu pu was a huge combination of fresh fruits, macaroons, etc. w/chocolate fondue, that also quickly disappeared. Our waitress was perky, prompt & solicitous & enjoyed bantering w/us. We will definitely go back for this good value.
