Meant to post this sooner but have been busy...
I was out on Friday night and a collegue phoned late asking if I wanted to go for dinner, I said sure expecting some quick bar food... we ended up at THUET Cuisine. I figured my freind was nuts because it was already 10:45 but they sat us and brought menus. They told us that they stay open as long as people are eating and we could even order the 5 course menu if we wanted. WOW finally a restaurant that caters to clients schedules instead of their own!
We still wanted to hit the bars so we order from their Theatre menu. Two courses $65 each.. I started with the foie gras (it was like a little breakfast came with a softboiled quails egg, some sort of duck and wine jelly, a thumb sized muffin, and a little salad with truffle oil. The foie gras was cut like little sausage rounds! It was incredible just melted in your mouth. My buddy had the Bison Carpaciao which I tasted and loved also had goat cheese and a papaya salad with it. The portions were not large but they also were not unduly small.
For mains I had the Skate wing stuffed with salmon mousse which sounds strange but was incredible so light and flavourfull. My companion had the Deer which he said was incredible (he did not offer me any but devowered it himself!).
All in all we had an amazing meal the service was prompt and they really seemed to know what they were doing and did not make us fee rushed to get out. We had a few scotches which ran the bill up but I will definately go back...
