Theatre District suggestions?

Cloudy | Sep 4, 200104:16 PM     2

Of course, it's not that simple; here are the requirements:

My father & stepmother are coming into town and are going to a play on 43rd near 9 Ave. Esca would have been my choice but they are full that day (next Tues).

1) European or American would be best. Fish specialties would be a plus. My stepmother has kind of a phobia about Asian food, so that won't work.

2) My father can't walk well these days, so please nothing more than a short walk away.

3) He is also a little hard of hearing, so no place too noisy.

4) They are seeing "The Vagina Monologues", so maybe something in keeping with that theme...uh, no, maybe not ;-)

My fallback is Le Madeleine, but last time I was there it was just o.k. Does anyone have any secret spots they are willing to share? Thanks!
