Thawing ~5lb Blocks of Fish Fillets for a Fish Fry

I'm having a fish fry this weekend (4 days from now) and need to thaw out a couple of 5LB blocks of fish filets. They are sealed in plastic bags. I've put them into the fridge last night into a tub, but there was no detectable thawing.

Last year, I had to run cold water over the fillets and work them out individually, which lead to a lot of loss of filets. I'd rather not do that again.

I'm wondering if I put water into the tub in the fridge, if that would help increase the rate of thermal energy transfer from the blocks. Thoughts?
