Thaiphoon review and suggestion request

While attending a conference in DC last week I had dinner at Thaiphoon near Dupont Circle. I had plagoong as my appetizer. This is a salad with boiled shrimp (4-5 nice, large shrimp) with a chili/lime/fish sauce dressing. The salad was quite good, although heavy on the red onions. My entree was panang seafood curry. The seafood (shrimps, scallops, and squid) were perfectly cooked with the squid being the most tender in memory. I had a thai iced coffee to drink and it was brought in a huge glass. The price to quantity/quality ratio of this place is fantastic!

I'll be in Bethesda next week, staying at the Hyatt next to the Metro. Any recs? Doesn't ahve to be in Bethesda. I don't mind hopping on the Metro and walking. I like just about any cuisine but prefer authentic Indian, Chinese, Thai, etc.

Thanks.
