I have a question for the Thai cuisine experts.
When I order Thai noodle dishes, such as Pad See Ewe, I like to order them spicy, or spice them up myself when there is good chili pepper in oil provided on the table. I'm wondering if this is kosher or not -- e.g. would it offend a chef to order a noodle dish spicy?
And then the underlying question -- are Thai noodle dishes as bland and sweet in Thailand as they often are here? What should a good Pad Thai or Pad See Ewe taste like?
