Thai find in SLC's west valley

Dunno if it's been mentioned here, but the Citysearch reviews are all good. Had a chance to check out Thai Delight at 6200 South and Bangerter (in the new strip mall at 3555 West).

Ambience is absolute zero as is alcohol availability, but as long as neither of those is a priority, it is worth the trip. Totally family operation, with friendly attentive service, and some seriously good thai food.

Was the Yum Woon Sen as good as my fave at Thai Garden? No, but it was pretty damned close, and definitely spiced HOT as requested. A dish of broccoli, onions, carrots and cashews with tofu in a light brown sauce was very good, and the leftovers will be today's lunch as the portions are very generous. Chee Choo was a Massaman-style curry with shrimp, and very tasty. The only flaw in the proceedings was the shrimp, overcooked in both the Yum Woon Sen and the curry. Best thing is the prices. Entrees top out at around $9. Excellent deal for excellent food, and the restaurant is definitely worthy of support.
