I am planning a reunion weekend for some girlfriends. There will be about 10 of us, in our mid-20s. Because some of the girls are either still in school or very recently out, we can't go anywhere super-pricey. I should also probably add that some of these girls are (ahem!) sheltered, so nowhere TOO edgy, both food-wise and neighborhood-wise. We'll have cars, so distance is not a huge factor. I'd like to go to places that are fun and somewhat unique to SF, and if I don't do the research and suggest them, no one will =P
Lunch: Chez Panisse Cafe
Dinner: Somewhere in Japantown - Maki? Takara? other suggestions? (We're staying at the Radisson Miyako in Japantown.)
After: Drinks somewhere (Mission bars? Union Square?)
morning: Breakfast somewhere at Ferry Market, maybe Hog Island or Slanted Door? Would we need reservations? Or what time should we show up so we wouldn't have to wait too long?
afternoon: Some group activity, maybe a flying trapeze class in the Haight-Ashbury area. Lunch suggestions? Kan Zaman?
night: Dinner and drinks, maybe in North Beach - L'Osteria del Forno? Do we need reservations? Again, what time is best to not have to wait too long?
Sunday - we'll probably only have time for one last meal together. Maybe dim sum in Chinatown or somewhere in or on the way to San Jose (most of us are flying out of SJ)?
Suggestions for snacks, coffee, dessert, etc. are also appreciated. Ex: cupcakes from Citizen Cake or truffles from XOX?
