Manhattan Dumplings

Restaurants & Bars 3

i finally stopped in for lunch today and was almost bowled over by the menu, low prices and friendliness of the staff. after i "um,um,um'd" over the menu (don't you just hate/love when that happens?). i finally chose two orders of boiled dumplings.

mushroom&boiled chicken were good but shrimp, chives&egg were the best. many more to choices to try next time. i also decided that i liked the soy sauce with them over the red/orange siraccha hot sauce to my suprise. it looked like the dumplings were home made, but it was hard to tell for sure. i noted many of the older folks eating the delicious looking stuffed pancakes (chive&egg, lotus, leek, etc.)which are a must next time.

nothing is over $3. also, it is confortable and i had a nice view of kids playing in the park while i inhaled my dumplings. this will give the mosco place around the corner a run for the money. if you haven't been go soon!

54 mulberry street

you bet i took a to-go menu ;)
