Tasting menu in New York

meattooth | Apr 17, 201609:47 AM

I am headed to New York in early June and am looking for a dinner out that is worth all of the money that I will spend. A few years ago, I went to Momofuko Ko (old location). Last year we did Blanca. Both were perfect. I'm looking for a similar place that will leave me equally impressed. The main problem that I keep having is that I loved the casual atmosphere of both Blanca and Ko. Most other Michelin starred places are a bit more white table cloth/dress code- which I am not that interested in. I also want a blind chefs tasting- no menu, they just keep bringing creative food.
Any other place fit the bill for this? I've also thought about going back to Ko, since it's a new location, but I only make it to New York about once a year. Seems like I should try something new.
We're staying in the West Village but location isn't an issue. We'll be hitting a lot of other great restaurants, but this is our big spend meal.
Suggestions? Ideas?
