I went to Taro sushi in park slope on friday.I think they opened up a few weeks ago and went with a japanese friend and wife .He did all the ordering we had omakase .This is the first time i went where i had omakase i been to many place where i would just order the basic sushi /sashimi dinner. so i was very impressed with his sushi had uni sushi,tuna belly sushi and sardine sushi. I also had a spicy tuna roll very little sauce as the sushi chef wanted us to taste the freshness of the fish. we also had baby clams sushi it has been blanched. the rolls was average but his sushi and sashimi was great and a friendly waitstaff made the place fun. it is BYOB .
the price was about $70 for each person without tip. but i thought it was worth it as i had a great meal.

The restaurant is small about 4 tables and a sushi bar but it began to be filled very fast by japeanese customers from the neighborhood. oh also there is cooked food also but the emphasis is more on the sushi
