Tang Chinese Review-Laurel/Magnolia

Stuart | May 23, 200609:16 PM

Well board, I was the one to reveal this one and now I will reveal how disappointing it was. They printed up such nice clever menu's which left me feeling like we finally had a decent chinese restaurant in the area. First, I read others asked about that Chopsticks spot across the street-is it actually good since it strikes me as a dump and haven't dared to try it?

Now on to my dinner I just had at TANG CHINESE, first times at a new spot I get the combo for like $12.00 you start with soup, appetizers, and your main dish.

Dinner A, B, or C

C gives you the Wor Wonton Soup, now they bring me a simple cup of wonton soup. I had to say to the MGR. I know the difference between Wonton & WOR he says the bowl comes with everything yet I bring you shrimp & chicken on the side to add to your soup, at least they brought that-first time running into this.

Next were my appetizers, basic cabbage vegi eggroll, nothing impressive, fried shrimp, wonton, dumpling, and paperwrapped chicken-all average yet nothing enough to stand out.

My main dish was the 3 flavor Kung Pao which was edible yet nothing to have me returning.

The specialties have me a bit curious yet after this experience I'm not in a rush to return, dishes like:

Tangs Crispy Beef
Two Flavor Shrimp
Seafood Delight
Steamed Fish

Hope this helps you guys,
