made it to tamari for the first time and was glad i did. food was delish and creative. lots of interesting things on the menu. a tuna carpaccio appy (special menu item) was well-dressed with guacamole in light sauce -- substantial quantity and decent quality fish. sushi rolls were good, esp the "tamari" roll (salmon, tuna, eel, tobiko); very nice seaweed/tofu salad. good selection of sakes. the vibe is still a little wierd, tho. and the place was nearly empty. i'll be back to sample the cookd stuff.
