tamales oaxaquenos review

i'm a homesick angelino who was craving mexican... so i made the trek to brooklyn to check out rico's tamales in sunset park thanks to you all! i ordered a tamale oaxaqueno, tamale rajas, elote, and a horchata.

when i got home i realized the woman gave me the wrong tamales and i didn't get a tamale oaxaqueno! :( but the rajas was very delicious. light and fluffy masa with delicious, spicy sauce. the elote was on a whole other level...i just came back from oaxaca a few weeks ago and have the street elote fresh in my mind. (yum) this just wasn't worth the fat and calories, so into the trash can it went. but at least the horchata was delicious!

thanks to everyone who recommended this place. eat tamales, skip the elote :) next i must try some of the taco shops....
