tacos and noshwalk tour

While waiting to begin a Myra Alperson noshwalk tour (our first), I had a great taco. The place has seats and will prepare your order for takeout-it is not as much of a hole in the wall as some places I go. My taco was prepared fresh (grilled chicken) and included a lot of cilantro and onion. it may have had a drop of guacamole, and it included a piece of radish and a wedge of lime. I was offered green or red hot sauce, though it didn't absolutely require any. It was delicious and $2.

San Francisco de Asis
1779 Lex between 110 and 111 - close to 110 subway stop on the 6

It was open Sunday aft. I cannot vouch for other hours.

The menu is much more extensive than I had indicated but it appears almost impossible to spend more than $10 for a dish (exc seafood). Platters they were preparing looked great and great care was exercised.

English works here, as it doesn't everywhere in E. Harlem.

The noshwalk tour - check her websites - was lots of fund and sure to appeal to 'hounds.
