Suzanne Goin's Short Ribs--anyone made?

Has anyone made the short ribs from Suzanne Goin's "Sunday Suppers at Lucques" yet? If so, any feedback / tips and did you use English cut short ribs (i.e., the short ribs that are cut between ribs, parallel to the bone) or the flanken cut (across the ribs)?
