Sunflower Vietnamese: the rudest service ever

Sean Mallory | Oct 14, 2004 12:46 AM

I went to Sunflower (16th & Valencia) tonight, it being my neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant, though not anywhere near as good as Yummy Yummy or Lotus Garden. I ordered bun with chicken and asked for extra shrimp. It came with no shrimp, and I ate it. The bill came, with an extra charge. Apparently I was given extra chicken; I said (which the waiter acknowledged) that I had asked for extra shrimp. He took the extra charge off. I paid and left an extra-large tip.

Then, as he was clearing the table, he said, "My boss said don't come back."

I had never been treated so rudely there (or anywhere else for that matter); has anyone else ever experienced that there?
