Sunday layover in Rome: Cafe/Restaurant advice please!

DH and I just got our holiday tickets for the States and our return flight has a 12 hour layover in Rome. We don't plan on trying to cram in a million tourist sights. We will visit another time to have a proper experience of the city.
For now, we just want to be hedonists and eat some great food!

On Sunday, the 12th of January, we will be able to be in the city from 8:30am to 4:00pm.

I know it's super early to think about this, but I'm stuck in an office right now and it makes me happy to plan.

So far, I'm considering coffee and pastries at Cafe Greco and a long lunch at one of the following places:
Perilli, Le Mani In Pasta, Monti, Al Ceppo, or Colline Emilane.

Some info: We are looking mostly for fantastic pasta dishes and secondly, great meat dishes. I love ravioli. Zabaglione is one of my favorite desserts, so that would be a bonus. I was taken by descriptions of Colline Emilane's pasta and duck dishes, but have seen some mixed reviews...

1) Is Cafe Greco a good choice? Are there any other morning cafe's with a great rooftop view of Rome through windows (since it'll be winter)?

2) Are any of these places in areas where we would be able to see some nice sights/views?

3) Food quality takes precedence, but do any of these places have both great food as well as a lovely atmosphere?

4) I'm kind of embarrassed to ask this...but could we even get pizza by the slice in the morning from outside vendors? Don't judge, I'll be detoxing the following day. ;-)

Thanks in advance for the help.
