Sun Tofu in Palo Alto

yimster | Oct 24, 200401:41 PM

Well yesterday we were finally able to have lunch at Sun Tofu.

We stop by last week but got there at 2:30 PM and was told that they closed from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

The prices are a little higher for dinner than lunch, but since I only had lunch I am not sure what more you get more for dinner.

The place is clean and service is good and friendly, but they need to work out a few issues.

Sun Tofu is divided into three sections and therefore the wait staff can not see if you need something. But once they notice you need something they are quick to respond.

Food was good but served a lot slower than the other tofu bowl places I have been. We also had five small side dishes. Due to the time it took to get our order they may be cooking to order which can make it taste better.

The soup that is part of the tofu bowl had more favor that the other tofu houses in Santa Clara.

I had the combination tofu bowl and Mrs. Y has the tofu salad. Mrs. Y kept saying that the tofu tasted like cheese. It had the texture of cheese.

I am glad that with the high gas prices I no longer have to drive to the south bay for a taste of tofu soup. I will be back to try the other meat dishes.
