Although I can't eat raw fish (pregnant) - I still wanted some udon noodles couple weeks ago, so my hubby and I went to Suisha House on Broadway in RWC.
It was a nice night, and was able to sit outside on the sidewalk.
I had the udon with chicken, egg, and 2 tempura shrimp. I was delighted to find out that the egg was still soft yolk, usually they are overcooked. It came in a dark metal pot with a handle, and it was hot. The noodles were not overly cooked, but the broth was a little salty. Overall, it was good.
My hubby decided on the tuna poke salad that looked good, but I couldn't taste it. He also ordered Shrimp tempura, which since I already had my own (which was pretty good, not too greasy) I didn't taste his.
With his beer and my orange juice, the bill was ~$35 - Dessert was a cut up orange - refreshing and sweet.
The only oops was that I noticed that my udon came with 2 gyoza, and someone neglected to bring it by the time I finished the udon. As soon as we mentioned it, they quickly made some new ones and brought it out.
Has anyone else tried them before? I remember their rolls being huge.
