Suggestions of where to purchase "picnic" items near Gare de l'Est?

rachelnyc1 | Dec 7, 201409:16 AM     15

We're arriving the morning of Christmas Eve and heading right to Strasbourg via Gare de l'Est. By the time we get settled at the hotel, it'll be after 3pm and I'm concerned that shops and Christmas Market vendors will close early for the Holiday so I want to pick up items for an in-room picnic in Paris before we leave. Looking for the usual: bread, cheese, meats, chocolates or other sweet treats...

My first thought was to go to Marche St. Quentin for some one stop shopping (it will also give me the opportunity to pick up some goodies for the train ride from the "dim sum lady" recommended on a recent TR) but wanted to check with everyone here to see if there are any other recommendations for that immediate area.

Thanks!
