My husband and I will be in Pittsburgh and need dinner suggestions for Friday and Sunday nights in August.
Friday night we will not be able to get to a restaurant until 9:30 or 10:00 and will be coming from the airport and Sunday night, time is not a problem but some restaurants are closed on Sunday. We are staying in the East End.
We are from San Francisco, and love great food and not too stuffy an environment. We like to have a choice of lighter options, so heavy pizza and burgers are not what we're after.
I found several options checking the web and wondered if any of what I'm listing are really great and/ or does someone have suggestions of someplace wonderful, that shouldn't be missed.
Restaurants so far that sounded interesting are: Casbah, Cafe Allegro, Soba, Olive or Twist,
Franco's, Monterey Fish Grotto and Carlton. We will be staying in the East End so East End, Shadyside, Oakland, Downtown, etc. would be fine.
