Sturdy post office-ready cake or tart idea

Bakeat350 | Jan 26, 201511:57 AM     21

I have a friend in another state who really needs some cheering up. I found some adorable heart-shaped polka dotted paper pans and I want to send her something but it's got to be up to the rigors of the mail system.

I thought I'd make a frangipane tart but I'd also like to send something chocolate. All those endorphins don't cha know. Got an idea for something that is sturdy and will hold up without refrigeration for a couple days? I'm thinking something rich like a flourless chocolate cake but I wouldn't trust that in the mail.
