I recently went to Chapel hill and tried 2 great restaurants with delicious food and welcoming environments. The first place was a coffee shop called People's Coffee. In addition to coffee, it had tea, kombucha, kombucha tea, and juice. I tried the kombucha tea and was told it was a lot lighter than kombucha and offered the same benefits. My friends all had the coffee and we were all more than satisfied. In addition to this the atmosphere was very calm and comfortable and we were able to study there for several hours.
The second place I went to was recommended by several friends, it was called Purple Bowl. It specializes in açaí bowls and avocado toast, both of which were delicious. Almost everything in Purple Bowl is compostable and they also have iPhone chargers available for guests. My friends and I were able to study here for a while as well and the staff was extremely friendly.
