M Street/Foggy Bottom/Georgetown Lunch Suggestions?

WSJ | Oct 23, 2009 09:04 PM

Haven't posted here in a while. I have two questions.

First I intern on M street right outside Georgetown and constantly look for lunch ideas. I've been to Uptowner (rip-off), Thai Kitchen (good pad thai, bad pad see-ew and expensive), Thai Coast (cheap and good), Sandellas, George's King of Falaffel and Cheesesteak, Le Pain Quoitediene and Cafe Tu-o-Tu. I was recommended to walk towards L street, where I've discovered Chopt and would probably default to Cosi if I lacked inspiration. I like all types of foods but usually default to sandwiches and am open to various foods. I'd probably go to Booeymongers more if it was closer.

Second this girl I like also interns in DC and I'm thinking about asking her out to lunch sometime. I'm looking for something affordable for two college students and seems like a friend kind of place to go to (if that makes sense). I know she really really likes sushi and my default thought was Kaz, but it seems like the quality there has been slipping recently and its definitely expensive and provides smaller portions. I'd prefer to keep suggestions in the L/M street corridor probably between 21 and 14.

Thanks.
