There's been several mentions of Cajun Pacific here in the past; I just ate there tonight. It's still as good as I remember, especially the gargantuan bread pudding with a caramel whisky sauce that's as delightful as a voluptous love affair.
But the highlight tonight was the appetizer special: a perfect crab cheesecake as light as an illusion. It could have been crab flavored air. Superb execution. Technique aside, the flavors also came togther with natural harmony. There was a hint of natural sweetness from the generous amount of crab, a salty tang from the cheese and a lighter and lemony tang from a drizzle of lemon cream sauce, all nicely balanced as they play on each other. It's the kind of stuff you'd expect from downtown restaurants, but instead, it's found at a solitary place in the outer sunset.
