Though I live nearby, I haven't gone to as many of the restaurants on this strip as I wish. I've been to Kebob Cafe, but only on weeknights. We're taking some friends of ours for dinner there on Saturday but I'm worried we'll end up standing outside or something waiting for a table. After all my raving about how great Kebob Cafe is, I'd hate for my friends to have a bad experience waiting too long in the cold to get in. I don't even know if this is a realistic worry. Anyone know the protocol for getting a table on a weekend or have suggestions about when to go to minimize the wait? Also, if we do wait, can someone suggest somewhere to go? Perhaps one of the shops that offers water pipes. I never see women in these places, so I'm not sure what's acceptable. Ok, and furthermore, if it really seems like we aren't going to get a table in less than half an hour or something, what's a close second? I heard that Ali's brother runs a restaurant right down the street. Is it the place with the esoteric, heavily decorated facade? Is it comparable? Pricier?
