"KEEP THE STEAK ,CAN THE HOST!!!!"

BEING A BIG FAN OF STEAK AND POTATOES (AND WHO ISN'T),I DECIDED TO TAKE A TRIP TO A NEW STEAKHOUSE THAT I HAD HEARD SO MUCH OF FROM VARIOUS FRIENDS. MY LOYALTIES RUN THE GAMUT FROM BEN BENSONS TO BOBBY VANS, HOWEVER I APPLAUD ANY NEW UNDERTAKING AND ENTER ALL NEW ENCOUNTERS WITH AN OPEN MIND. LET ME TELL YOU OF MY EXPERIENCE AT MARK JOSEPH STEAKHOUSE DOWN ON WATER STREET
ADD MARK JOSEPH TO EVERYONES' LIST OF RESTAURANTS TO ABSOLUTELY VISIT. CALL IN ADVANCE, HOWEVER, AND FIND WHEN YOUR HOST CHARLIE HAS HIS DAY OFF AND MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR THESE DAYS ONLY.
ALL THINGS ABOUT THIS EATERY ARE SPENDID. IT HAS THE USUSAL MASCULINE AMENITIES YET MY WIFE FELT RIGHT AT HOME.DRINKS (BOBBY THE BARTENDER IS A ABSOLUTE TREASURE) ARE BOTH SUPERSIZED AND EXPERTLY DONE. OUR HOT SEAFOOD PLATTER WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD. I HAD THE BONE IN RIBSTEAK, MY WIFE HAD A FILET MIGNON AND BOTH WERE DONE TO PERFECTION. OUR SIDE DISHES WERE EXCELLENT AS WERE OUR DESSERTS. THE WAITER, A SHORT STOCKY FELLOW NAMED J.C., WAS THE BEST. HE HELPED US PICK OUT A GREAT BOTTLE OF WINE (BERRINGER ALLUVIUM IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN) AND YOU CAN SEE THAT HE IS ONE OF THOSE RARE PEOPLE WHO LOVE THEIR JOBS. HE WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE, WITTY AND EXTREMELY FUNNY. ASK FOR HIM ON YOUR VISIT. YOU'LL THANK ME.
NOW, REGRETABLY, MY ONLY CRITQUE, THE HOST. UNLESS HE OWNS PART OF MARK JOSEPH, HE HAS NO BUSINESS BEING THERE. FROM THE SECOND WE STEPPED IN THE DOOR HE WAS LIKE A CAGED ANIMAL. IT WAS NOT VERY BUSY WHEN WE ARRIVED, YET HE WAS RUNNING AROUND IN A LATHER MAKING ALL THE OTHER EMPLOYEES CRAZY. IN FACT, IT SEEMED THAT THE HOSTESS WAS ACTUALLY AFRAID TO SIT PEOPLE WITHOUT HIS CONSENT. HE WAS LOUD, RUDE AND ARROGRANT. MAYBE I CAUGHT HIM ON A BAD DAY OR, FOR HIS SAKE, MAYBE HE WAS DRUNK. THIS SAID, PLEASE VISIT MARK JOSEPH FOR WHAT WILL SURELY BE A GREAT STEAK DINNER. DON'T, HOWEVER, ASK FOR THE HOST NAMED CHARLIE.
