Staying/working near Central Park S. next week

Hi all -
I'm staying at the Park Lane and working nearby. On Monday night I think I am free to fly anywhere in Manhattan. Considering Le CouCou, but open to suggestions. It appears a huge % of restaurants are closed on Monday, true? I am interested in restaurants that do not require a tasting menu, and are either heavily seafood or vegetable. Great Bread a plus.

Tues and Wed I would prefer to stay closer to my hotel. I am looking at Marea and Ma Peche. Comments? Other suggestions?

A bar/restaurant with a nice selection of wines by the glass, and particularly sparklers would be nice. Marea's by the glass prices seemed high, am I wrong? Would be interested in the new Grant Achatz places, but I want worthy food, not just drinks. I read something about a place called Air?

And for lunches, I may be at the mercy of my co-workers, but nearby Madison and 57th, are there any casual but delicious places I should lobby for? I'm not interested in a long, heavy lunch.

Finally, any great coffee/pastry places for pre-work? I vaguely recall there's something good at Columbus Circle?

Thanks so much!

Le Coucou
