Started heading to Rino's East Boston ended up at Trattoria Toscana

Called Rino's around 6:45 from the Pike to see if there was a wait and to get on the waiting list and was told there was a 2 1/2 hour wait...I could not believe it. Anyway, 4 of us decided to try Trattoria Toscana in the Fenway as the Sox were out of town...what a great choice! Not only did we find parking at a meter on Boylston Street, there was no wait at the restaurant. This turned out to be one of the best Italian meals I have had in the Boston area. I started with a Tomato Bread Stew which was a very fresh tasting soup of tomatoes thickened with bread and fresh basil. For mains, my wife and I split the Grilled Sliced Sirloin on Rosemary which was cooked a perfect medium rare and was outstanding and the Homemade Pappardelle with shrimp and zucchini in a light cream sauce. The pappardelle came with about 8 smallish shrimp, very thin sliced rounds of zucchini and was also excellent. Four of us split a mediocre $30 bottle of Chianti Classico. With tip each couple paid $90, well worth the money.
