Spontaneous Rome getaway

Yuv83 | Apr 29, 2016 01:36 AM

So, I've decided to treat my wife (and myself of course) to a quick surprise 3 nights vacation to Rome tomorrow (Saturday morning) for her birthday. It wasn't planned and my research is basically what I could find here in the last 2 hours and some second hand recommendations from friends.
We're both 33 year old, enjoy everything from 3-starred Michelin to hole-in-the-wall type places.

I haven't been in Rome since I was 16, so I imagine we will spend our limited time mostly around the obvious tourist attractions. Our hotel is around Piazza Navona.

Places I thought might try, no idea yet if places are available:

Late Lunch Saturday - Armando
Saturday evening - Somewhere in Trastevere? Friend recommended Osteria der Belli.

Sunday Lunch - Piperno
Sunday Dinner - Emma

Monday Lunch - Testaccio Market (Mordi e Vai, whatever else is recommended in the neighborhood for quick bites?)
Monday Night - Unsure yet. Cesare al Casaletto? L'Arcengelo? A friend also highly recommended Trattoria Dal Cavalier Gino but haven't seen much about it here.

Any quick help would be very appreciated. Thanks!

Belli - Restaurant / Wine Bar,
Il Belli al Trionfale,
Piperno Restaurant,
Mordi e Vai,
Via Vai Bar - Bistrot,
Trattoria Da Cesare to Casaletto,
Locanda Navona,
Gino in Trastevere
