Spire

Fort Point | Mar 25, 2003 01:48 PM

Tried lunch at Spire which is located in the 90 hotel (Luxury) on Tremont. Decor is very high end. Dishes we tried were seared salmon with oven dried tomatoes, artichoke, black olives and fennel and grilled angus steak, herbed frites, spinach and great hill blue cheese. Both dishes were excellent with perhaps the edge going to the salmon as the steak was a little tough. The lunch entrees range from $12 to $16; the two we tried were $15.

If you're looking for a sophisticated lunch it is definitely worth a try, although if you are in the area and have not tried No. 9 Park we would suggest going there first.

The one pricing surprise was the expresso, $5 seems excessive.
