Southern Spice has been much discussed and well chronicled on Chowhound. What is new is the buffet on Sunday. The owner Sri, a fantastic chef and wonderful person gave in to a downturn in Sunday afternoon business and added the buffet. It is more expensive but like most of his menu, the ingredients are higher quality then most places and it is a restaurant not a steam table joint. He is constantly adding freshly made items and the selection varies week to week. This week the chili chicken, dry fried okra, mutton curry and fish biryani were particularly outstanding. I just can't say enough good things about the owner and the restaurant. The Sunday buffet is also a nice way to try many dishes you might not want to commit to as a full order. Lastly and importantly, the food at Southern Spice is excellent and they now maintain that quality on their buffet, no easy achievement.
