soup man 42nd/5th may need a second chance

meandering back to grand central and noticed the sign for the soup man (Seinfeld fame) store on 42nd off 5th and decided to give it a try. ordered the mushroom barley and was shocked at the price >$8 for what they called a bowl. but what the heck. owner gave me a free salad on the way out. walked quickly to GCT and grabbed a table. first bite of the salad...way overdressed and had pine nuts (nut allergy so that was a no go). opened the soup and took my first bite. it was lukewarm (i know some of you will say it was cold outside but it was one block)and pretty salty. i will say it had a lot of flavor, and lots of them. barley was perfectly cooked. I would give another shot but would make sure the soup was hotter when i purchased.
