My dad's coming to town on Monday and wants to go out to lunch. I'd prefer something near Soho/West Village, near Spring and 6th.
Dad's not an adventurous eater and he is of the small town Olive Garden mindset that big portions = good food (and while I'd like to break him of that, one lunch won't do it).
Was thinking Aquagrill or Fiamma, or even somewhere like Blue Ribbon bakery. Le Gamin is a little too coffee shop for my accountant father. Possibly Shopsin's as another option...
Thoughts? Somewhere that's good food, decent portions, reasonable price? I work in this area but am having a hard time viewing things through the "dad filter."
