This is what I heard and observed my husband doing over Memorial Day Weekend:
I am going out to start the fire so I can grill these vegetables later, then I'll do the meat (assuming he meant grill the meat.) He was using a standard weber grill..black in color. All done in about 40 minutes...after the fire was ready.
I have marinated this pork tenderloin overnight. I need to get the smoker goin. I saw him disappear into the far backyard (where a tall, black steel lookin thing lives) and didn't seem him until twilight....saw lots of smoke. Tenderloin was warm when he took it out.
I am headed out to start the fire (weber again). I've dry-rubbed the hell outa this pork butt and gonna cook him on indirect. Better grab a beer first. I saw him 4 hours later. He was mopping a wet red sauce kinda stuff on top of the meat...drooling at the same time.
Does this sound familiar to anyone out there?
