Went there for a business lunch today and was very disappointed. I ordered the lump crab meat cocktail which still had some fins in it. The sauces that accompanied were a too tomatoey cocktail sauce and a green based light mayo sauce. Both not good at all. I ordered the liver medium rare and it came out medium well. I sent it back and then it came out pretty much raw. I gave up and just ate around the edges where it was cooked medium rare. Had it not been a business lunch, I would have really showed my displeasure and contemplated either ordering something else or returning it a second time which I have never done.
Steamed asparagus was very ordinary, creamed spinach was terrible, and hash browns were too burnt.
Others had the lamb chops, sirloin and filet mignon. All agreed at the end of the meal that Sparks and Peter Luger's are better steakhouses. It was my first time there and probably my last unless someone insists on S&W for a business meal.
