Singh Thai- Disappointing

Danisar | Aug 18, 2005 10:39 AM

After being a frequent visitor to Singh Thai when I lived in the Courthouse area, I had not been in about six to eight months. Unfortunately, this good and reliable place seems to have gone way downhill. The springrolls, which had been my favorite in DC, were slightly overcooked and had been changed for the worst- no more of that yummy taro filling. It was just the standard cabbage. The seafood in my Typhoon soup was rubbery, but the broth was nice. My husband had the chicken with onions and peppers (can't remember the name) which was supposed to be spicy. It was good, but no spice. We commented to our waitress, particularly on the springrolls, but she said the chef was the same.

Has anyone else had the same experience there or am I just spoiled by living close to Thai Square now?
