Shun Lee Cafe - YUCK!

Was recommended as a good pre-Lincoln Center spot -and we all know a good spot near Lincoln Center is hard to find, but UGH! Had greasy, bland pan fried noodles for $13, a "heavenly fish fillet" which basically tasted like frozen whitefish doused in rice wine, and some boring prawn something. The only acceptable thing was the Hong Kong style Scallops, which were great, if a little sweet, and featured frozen peas as the vegetable accompaniment. The service was bad, the bill took ages, which gave us a coronary as our seats were up in the 4th tier. Such a rip off!

Now, I don't have any other suggestions to offer for pre- Lincoln center, but I would rather have gone to the Ray's Pizza on Amsterdam than pay through the nose for chinese food that pales in comparison to the local takeout. Consider yourselves warned.

P.S. It was my birthday too! God I hate that place!!!
