Shopping in the Age of COVID-19

Other than the usual advice (wash and disinfect your hands, try (just try!) not to touch your face, avoid crowds and where they've been, and no handshakes, what's your strategy for avoiding the virus?

I guess the good news is that it's not communicable via airborne transmission unless someone coughs or sneezes in your face. But the bad is apparently that the virus can survive on (non-copper!) surfaces for up to two weeks, waiting to be touched. I do not trust surfaces on delivered boxes any more than I do obtained through B&M shopping.

Basically, I now glove up whenever I go out of the house or my car, and I sanitize over the gloves whenever I handle money, credit cards, or touchpads. Likewise for handling mail and deliveries. Sanitizer lives at the front and back doors, and in all vehicles. A small bottle is carried at all times. I've stopped flying and going out until more is known and done. If this reaches pandemic scale, I have a full-face N95 respirator a lot of people will be seeing me in, if for no other reason than to keep my hands away from my face.

What's your strategy?

Aloha,
Kaleo
