Excellent Middle Eastern food at this small family owned place across the street from the Capitol, at the intersection of East Colfax and Grant. It's been here for 18 months but looks brand new thanks to a recent renovation. All the meats are excellent, but the chicken shawarma is probably the best of the bunch, with the gyro meat fairly close behind. Had some excellent lemonade, which can be sweetened (or not) to your request, and you can ask for rosewater to be included or deleted. Hummus is excellent, did not try any desserts. Tremendous value; portions are huge, prices are fairly low.

Beware the hours printed on the takeout menu. They used to stay open until 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday but now are only open to 11 p.m. However, on Saturday at 11:30 owner Omar was kind enough to restart the grill and make us a couple of sandwiches to go.
