I recently moved and shisen ramen in one of my new neighborhood restaurants. I had a bowl of charsu ramen there last night which i enjoyed. The broth was spicy and it came with a good portion of tasty charsu as well as veggies and ground pork.
What surprised me is that almost everyone else was eating something other than ramen. All kinds of stuff--different noodle bowls, small plates of meat and veggies, and a thing that looked like an omelet smothered in gravy. I know very little about Japanese food other than sushi, so was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for other dishes they do well.
