Shinjuku restaurant recommendations

mlin1 | Jun 14, 201701:27 PM     20

I will be traveling with my husband and 8 yo daughter to Tokyo on mid July. We will be staying for most of the trip at Keio hotel in Shinjuku and would like recommendations for dinners that are convenient to our hotel. We would like to avoid lengthy walking due to the July heat so we are looking for restaurants near the hotel or within a very short train ride. We would like to try different types of Japanese cuisine- sushi, ramen, udon, izakaye, tempura but since we will have our daughter with us we are planning casual meals within a very very short walk from our hotel (or from the train station). During the second part of our trip we will be staying at Tokyo Station Hotel - if there are particularly good restaurants nearby in the station we would appreciate some suggestions!
